When I called back, the guy that answered called me "Babe" and then proceeded to say that he really liked the sound of my voice and that I could be his girlfriend. Um, what? I've received 8 calls with the same automated voice saying that I was being sued by the IRS within 5 days.
Why can't this be stopped???

this is a new number (out of Ohio) for the IRS scam - sounds like the same people who called me earlier today and told me there was an arrest warrant out for my husband and myself for taxes owed $3800 (years 2010 - 2014). the number they called me on this morning was 202-790-4390 out of Washington DC.

Lost of chatter in the background. Said his badge # is 6510 and he was in Washington. Told us we were being sued from the IRS for Tax Audit. "click"

Called 3 times, the last time was a final notice. Said I owed taxes from the years that I was a stay at home Mom. I asked for documents and I think she said the police would be here to arrest me before the documents could arrive. Could have been a guy, couldn't understand he\she very well. I told her that I would call back and he\she said I didn't need to and hung up. Is this some kind of scam?

Got a recorded message saying the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me. Called the phone number, and the guy said the IRS had sent a certified letter about the lawsuit and asked for my DOB and SSN. When I refused to give them, he said the police had been dispatched to my house to arrest me. I told him I would be calling the actual IRS to confirm his story and hung up.
