Robert Wilson called staying he was assistant to IRS INVESTIGATOR Adam Spencer. Informed him I was his wife and asked for explanation since we filed joint taxes. He called and his name was William Austin. A scam. The IRS website talks about such scams and what to do about it. Go to: http://www.irs.gov/uac/Newsroom/IRS-Warns-of-Pervasive-Telephone-Scam, or simply go to irs.gov and click on the link at the left called "IRS warns of telephone scams". This link tells you how to report such scams, such as 1) calling Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 1.800.366.4484, or 2) contact the Federal Trade Commission and use their “FTC Complaint Assistant” at FTC.gov.
The notion behind this scam is to target especially people with a foreign sounding name, threaten deportation, and then try to get them to pay the scammer with a debit card in a panic. In our case, they were looking for my friend Jia (Chinese name), and said the IRS had a lawsuit against her and if she is being represented. However, Jia is clean with the IRS, and has not received any notifications by mail, so the lawsuit allegation did not make sense.

I received a call and caller I'd showed flower mound police dept..
I was told that police officer filed a complaint against you and this is regarding IRS. I was told to call 2104013611 and resolved the issue. I called flower mound police dept. And inquire. Police officer was nice and called this number on my behalf and he was told that give all info.
It is scam. Be aware.

I asked his name and he said it is Robert smith with his poor english i told him you do not sound like a ROBERT SMITH.I TOLD HIM TO GIVE ME A NUMBER TO CALL HIM BACK AND HE GAVE ME 607-216-8884.AT THAT POINT I KNOW HE WAS A SCAMMER.i TOLD HIM IN A RUDE WAY NOT TO EVER CALL AGAIN AND HANG UP.

This fool told me he was from the IRS and I called him out on it and he got beligerant. Obviously this fool is a terrible scam artist because he thinks people will fall for his nonsense. I believe in Karma and these people will ultimately pay for this. Hope it's painful!!!

Claims to be IRS agent and wants you to send money via Money Gram to take care of debt; will leave voice mail stating that you need legal representation; THIS IS A SCAM; if you speak with anyone at this number, ask for the badge number, address of the office (they state 130 South Elmwood Ave in Buffalo, NY; not an IRS office), case number, and address they have on file for you; they cannot verify correct information and all of them sound like they are based out of a call center in Chennai or Bangalore...ask what kind of curry is their favorite
