My caller ID said call was from Austin Texas. I don't live in Texas. Said they had tried to reach me by mail and I did not respond. Said this was regarding a tax audit and I needed to call back and not to ignore this call. Called at 12:02pm. I will answer next time and ask him for his IRS badge number as I have done before and that will be the end of those calls.

He advised me to call this number 253-237-7684, that it was time sensitive and I needed to call or that would go to the next step. Well I know for a fact that the IRS always contacts you first by mail and will never call, unless the phone call was prearranged via by mail FIRST, and then they request for you to call them. But not unless you received a Letter with their LOGO and all the BS that' goes on it. SO I know for a fact this is scam.

Just got a call from the number 360-746-2558! A message saying it's the IRS and received a legal petition for tax fraud and to call back. I received a refund last year! I called back out of curiosity and the number rang and range! Such crap

I received 2 calls on 3/29/2016. I did not contact the number as I knew the IRS does not may such calls they will send you a certified notice in order to acquire a signature from you that you received the notice

This was an automated call indicating that the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me, and that I had to reply by phone immediately...meaning surrendering my cel phone number, etc. Checked on line for this number, which has other complaints listed, so beware. The number 802-595-1745 is some sort of scam or phishing expedition, certainly not the IRS...which only does things in writing if they want actions to be taken.
