This number has called our house several times. Since it only comes up as 'Toll Free Call' on the Caller ID we let our answering machine take the call.
Today (December 1, 2011) they called at 2:45pm (CST). I decided to find out who it was and what they wanted so I answered it. I said, "Hello" about 3-4 times getting louder each time since I knew it was probably a computer. No one ever came on the line and after saying, "Hello" a few times I finally heard a click and nothing was there.
When the call disconnected I decided to call it back. It rang about 1 time and then a recording came on that said, "Thank you for calling AT&T."
NEWS FLASH AT&T:
Your little telemarketing scheme might actually work if you bothered to SAY SOMETHING when the person you're calling answers the phone!! I think I speak for everyone else when I say I DON'T appreciate being harassed by all these "dead air" phone calls!! Either have someone on the other end when I answer the phone or DON'T CALL AT ALL!!

Called to speak to someone about our account. When I asked what was wrong, he hung up on me. I called back. He stated nothing was wrong and when I went to ask another question, he again, hung up on me. Obviously, these people need to learn some manners.

Continuous calls four times a day at intervals, all automated, requesting a survey about latest transaction. My latest transaction was spending 2 hours on the phone with those disgusting people requesting them to stop calling me. Something needs to be done about this company. Today and yesterday I had 8 calls AFTER asking them to stop. Other calls for this number had no identification and no message- only strange background noises.

This person claimed to be with AT&T and wanted to confirm my SSN and other personal information. I thought he was legit until the end. I contacted my bank, AT&T, and the Credit Bureau. I'm also going to file a police report. Also, my bank was charged $400 from AT&T. Not my bill. They are looking into it, and I will be refunded the money. I hope someone is taking this seriously in law enforcement.
