Had a robotic voice leave me a message stating that the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me. It gave me a number to call back. So I did, I got about 20 secs into the call with whoever answer and their phone cut out. What I did hear sounded like he was in a large, noisy call center. I fell pretty confident the IRS contacts you via letters and not like this.
