Received a phone call/voicemail that told me to not ignore the call. Tried to call, got no answer. Looked up number online and noticed possible scam. Called back and a man answered with "How can I help you?", no company name or anything. He asked for the phone number and then gave me my name. Said that the IRS had sent paperwork and I hadn't responded and something about having a criminal lawyer. My taxes and all debt are paid, so I know this is crap. He proceeds to tell me that he's going to read me an affidavit about the issue and to not interrupt him. I told him he would not be reading me anything and that I would call the IRS myself. His response was "ummm" before hanging up. I called the IRS and was told that they never call, but rather they will send you mail or certified mail. This is a scam! Please help get this number cancelled.
