This number called me yesterday four times. The first two times I was not at home and no message was left on my answering machine. The third time I picked up the phone and no one said anything so I hung up. The fourth time a man with an indian accent asked if "Bob" was there. I told him he had the wrong number and he hung up. This is not the first time this has happened and I have two different numbers with the same thing happening. I then called my telephone company and asked them if there was anything I could do to make this stop. They told me to go on line and put my phone number on the national do not call.gov list. They told me this would take 31 days. I asked
him what would happen if they kept calling me after that and he told me then I should dial *52 after they hang up and the police would trace the phone call and I would be able to file a complaint. This is all well and good but I do not feel I should have to wait 31 days. This has been happening off and on since November 2008. This is harrassment and it is not right that someone should be able to call my house and not say anything and hang up. I have caller ID and I can see where the call is coming from but I don't know why. I don't know where these people are getting my phone number from as I have a private line but I am planning to investigate this. I googled Call Center Lansing, MI which is a real place and a real company according to the internet, so someone is using their company name with a bogus phone number. But still I don't understand why they are calling if they are not going to say anything. It doesn't make any sense.
