Phishing scam out of a foreign call center starts with them telling you there are the "Visa security department". Someone made a charge on your CC overnight for several hundred dollars at eBay. They will not say a bank or store name because they do not know which you actually have.
If you ask them which bank, they will guess at one of the big bank names. If you ask them the last 2 digits to verify, they will say they don't have access to the number and YOU must provide it to them to verify your identity ... along with expiry and security code, of course!
