On 06-20-2011, at 12:31 PM I got a similar call from someone (from number 646-527-8434) I could not understand. He said "they" represented "someone who taking "legal action" against me for "CHECK FRAUD". He indicated they tracked my EMAIL and social security number. When I asked him WHAT THE SOCIAL number was, he would not give it to me. I asked for the last four; again no. I asked for someone I could UNDERSTAND. I am sick of taking to some son of a b***h who insists on getting MY info and who I cannot understand. I got someone else who ALSO could not talk English. I callded the number back and a recording came on telling me this was NOT a local number in spite of the fact it comes up on my phone as such. The recordoing tells you to contact your carrier or they give you another number to call and then punch in this number to make the LONG DISTANCE CALL (read - INTERNATIONAL). When I called my carrier to querry this they told me it SOUNDED like a SCAM but to check GOOGLE. Lo And Behold it is.
