They call xxx-xxx-1234, then 1235, 1236, etc. The actual person that comes on the line (if you ever get one) could be anywhere in the world. Las Vegas has A LOT of VoIP landlines available at a small price. They are also searching for fax machines to answer, then they use those numbers and send SpamFax.
