I just did a search of a number that my search results said was an invalid number, but copied it as my caller id recorded it, which is 800-356-9493. If someone is able to change a number so that it appears as an invalid number, I'm very suspicious that the person using it is up to harassing, scamming or other illegal "up to no good" actions to avoid being traced. I don't answer unknown calls from "who knows where" unless I recognize them or a name comes up on the caller id. Those that don't identify themselves can do so on my voicemail that answers 24/7 if the call's that important!
