Caller was offering free subscription to Dr. Charles Stanley's magazine. I asked how they got my name & number; caller said he didn't know - probably something that I already subscribe to. I told him I was on the DNC registry & he said this type of call didn't fall under the DNC law because they weren't selling anything & they're a non-profit organization. The caller was polite, well-spoken & seemed sincere, but I still don't appreciate unsolicited phone calls. I politely declined & asked to be removed from their call list & he said "of course, I'm sorry for the inconvenience".
