804-441-8911 called my home number, and knew my last name, and said they were actually calling about one of my neighbors. They stated her name and address, which is a few houses from where I live. They asked if I knew her, I stated I didn't, and the caller was quite disappointed I didn't. She said she was hoping I did because they have been trying to get in contact with them regarding a business matter.
I find this call highly unusual and suspicious. It sounds like Collection Agencies are calling neighbors of those they on collecting on to embarrass them into paying a debt. Is this legal? If this is the new way of collecting on people, it is horrible, just horrible.
