I recently received a call from this same number, also claiming to be from the fraud department of my credit card company. I, unlike the previous poster, did have recent activity on my credit card. One of the pending charges WAS fraudulent. Luckily, I googled the number before I called when it did not match any 800 number I could find on my bank/credit card company's website.
