total scam re IRS. Agree, IRS would send you a letter and not an auto-call. call back # they leave is wrong too, first clue (it says 229-2229-0431 but it does not work, is 229-299-0431.) they sound indian. said they are located at Condation St (not Constitution) in D.C. Threaten to cancel my drivers license, bank accounts, credit cards and come to my place of business and arrest me if I do not make payment. got mad at me and yelled 'what the IRS wants to know is was this intentional or a mistake?" then hung up on me. I called back to see what else they had to say since I could hardly understand first guy. Listened to second guy, he knew my former address! Anyway, I finally told him i knew it was a scam and I was reporting them.
I sure hope no one falls fotr this and pays them, they were telling me it was over $6500.00! and they'd walk with bank account or credit card info if anyone pays via phone.
