Call from Anaheim, caller represented himself as an agent from the IRS and asked for my wife. I told I could take the message. He started to explain that there was money owed. When I asked why the IRS would be calling from Anaheim and how could I confirm that he was legit, he made a hasty exit, saying that I would be contacted by the sheriff (Really?! A county officer is going to contact me regarding a federal IRS issue?!) I wish I could have reached through the phone and grabbed this guy, and it sounded like he was in a call center, so evidently, he has a bunch of his buddies organized in this scam.
