An African-American man called misrepresenting himself as being with the Veteran's Administration as a "VA Advocate" seemingly wanting to collect information from me to sell his "VA Streamline Mortgage Refinance Program" of which I was not interested and made that very clear.

I asked him once again if he was an employee of the Veteran's Administration and he repeated that he was a VA Advocate, clearly dodging my question. He tried once again to sell me on his product, and I politely cut him off. I told him to please remove me and my husband (23-year servicemember) from his call list, and that is when he became very short with me and told me he had to make more calls. I asked him for his name several times and he eventually just hung up on me.

I called him back, and when he answered, he told me he was "with another client and that he'd have to call me back." He hung up yet again. I called one last time, to which he answered again, and as I was asking him again to provide me with his name, he began using such foul language, I was absolutely appalled. I told him that I would be contacting the Veteran's Administration directly, along with the Office of the Inspector General, to notify them of his misrepresentation of being emplyed by the VA, and reminded him that he had broken a Federal Law by stating so. He then screamed, "If you call back one more time, I will have you arrested for harrassment." How so very ironic, I thought.

Here's what I've been able to find out about the caller:

- He is of African-American descent;
- The office he is physically working at is located at 3600 Crondall Lane, Owings Mills, MD 21117
- The phone number and location that shows up on Caller ID, however, is Pikesville, MD and again, the number is 443-940-7115.
- The office is the Owings Mills, MD office of Ivy League Mortgage, a subsidiary of American Home Bank.
- The CEO of Ivy League Mortgage is Steve Brasslett
- Interestingly, each time I've called back (from an unidentifiable phone number), he answers the phone number above with, "Yeah, Dude."

I'll also be notifying The Army Times newspaper as well as Owings Mills, MD police to file a report.
