I had an ad posted on Craigslist offering a reward for the return of some jewelry I lost. This guy called me and said that he was a truck driver and had been driving through my city, stopped at a truck stop when somebody sold him my jewelry for $150, less than the reward I was offering. He said his wife felt bad about it, found my ad and wanted to return it to me.
He said he just wanted to get back what he paid for it plus shipping and that I would need to send him a Western Union wire transfer. When I asked him to send a photo of the jewelry he got in a huff, hung up on me and has since never answered his phone. I believe he just scours Craigslist for the word "reward" and attempts to rip people off. He told me his name was Larry Rollins and that he was in Kentucky. The caller id shows Owensboro, KY.
