I received a call from this company saying I won a $100 gift card to different stores, another $100 card, and a $50 for resturants. This call center must be in India because of the accents, and I could barely understand them. The first girl I talked to, I was trying to ask the most simple questions, like "what stores can it be used at? But she kept cutting me off and asking for my credit card number to pay a shipping and handling of $5.90. We went around in circles, without her giving up until I asked to speak to a manager. When he got on, he was the worst. First thing he asked for was my cc number. I told him I had questions, and if it sounded legit, I'd give him my cc. My SIMPLE questions: (How did I get picked for this "gift", is the gift cards a visa or MasterCard giftcard, since he said I can use them at multiple places, and most importantly, after I pay the "shipping and handling" fee of 5.90, was that ALL I WOULD HAVE TO PAY? I wasn't going to have to be billed monthly, or have some new charges? Even beginning with 1st question, he kept inturpting me, not letting me get 2 words in before he was DEMANDING my cc info. It continued for ten minutes. He started getting frustrated because I wouldn't give him my cc until all my questions were answered, and of course, he wouldn't answer them. HE JUST DEMANDED my cc info.*HUGE RED FLAG FOR ME!* So feigning that I needed to go get my cc to give it to him, I actually googled the company and everything I read cautioned SCAM! So going back and forth with this jag bag not answering questions, and seeing all the scam, I ended the call. he took a 1/2 hr of my day, and then literally BEGGED ME to give him my cc so I could recieve the $250 in gift cards. (Reminding you that I STILL didn't know where I cud use them, cause he cut me off when I asked. A HUGE WASTE
To recap: If someone calls you and said you're recieving a giftcard, and never heard of the company, and never entered a sweepstakes, DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO! I cannot express that enough!!
I got two calls from them, eash from diff area codes. 1 from Chicago and 1 from LA.
