These a-holes just called my job. When I tried to call them back I asked for their fax # & physical address...They hung up on me and now won't answer my calls when I call from my cell phone. Does anyone have any fax #? where I can fax a letter advising them not to contact my job. They won't give me any information regarding who the debt is for..They did this several years ago and the company I worked for at the time advsd them not to call. Now it is starting all over at another company I work for. They are bottom feeders. If they were legit they would give you the debtors info.

I have them on the phone right now. OMG they are asking me to fax them a letter telling them I will take care of the issue. and they wanted my credit card or back card number. If i don't have that then they want me to buy a prepaid visa and give them the number. Or they will arrest me. First he said his name was Chris Hall then after I acted like I was going to take care of this he said to fax this info to Ugene Baker at 786-513-2882. He stated he is in Florida. I am calling the police now.

This man called my home and my husbands cell back to back for the first time today. He left a message with my mother in law that I needed to call back to answer to a lawsuit filed against me. The message on the cell was that it was time sensitive and if I ignored the phone call I would be sorry and he wishes me luck for what is to come.
First of all, I don't owe anything for any payday loan. Secondly, I took one out and paid it over ten years ago, and if I did not in Florida that debt could no longer be collected upon as it is not even on my credit report, and it has run its course. Third, you don't leave personal information with another party as it is against the LAW.
I have had this happen last year with a different company based out of New York. I reported them to the Attorney General, their local law enforcement agency and mine, then called the cash advance company. They did not know of any debt, nor did they know anyone was trying to collect anything on their behalf. These people are "bottom feeders". File reports with the authorities from the state they are calling you from, the local bbb, and get a fax number to send a letter stating you want all contact to cease. By law they have to stop calling you!!

Said I owed for a payday loan. I called the local police department and he stated that these people are under investigation by the FBI. The sheriff told me that if they call to hang up on them and not pay them any attention. He stated if you can, block the number but the problem that they have found out is that they keep stealing numbers and changing them up. I called the number that they called me from in the middle of the night and it went straight to a cell phone voicemail. Any true law office will show up on your caller ID or you will be able to trace the number online back to the law office. This is a scam and if they call you, follow the instructions I was given by the local police department. The person who calls you will threaten you and curse you out to scare you. PLEASE HANG UP YOUR PHONE AND IF YOU HAVE TO CALL YOUR LOCAL POLICE DEPARTMENT AND REPORT IT. IF YOU DO TALK TO THEM, GET AS MUCH INFORMATION AS YOU CAN AND REPORT THEM TO THE FTC.

Called and stated I owed money on a payday loan. They called constantly leaving me threatening messages and stating that the conversation was being recorded. He said that I had to fax a letter to the company basically degrading myself and my moral character. He read an affadavit to me and then said that they were pressing criminal charges by the end of the day unless I paid them. Looking up their number and law office, I came across this page. Thanks everyone....I was really at my whits ends. He stated I owed for a loan I got to an account that was recently closed. I told him to call me back on my payday and I would give him my information. They had all my information including social security number, home phone, address, and cell phone number. Stated the had an affadavit that they were going to file at the end of the day and have the police come up to my job and arrest me. I've only been to court once in my life and that was for child support. Besides, I thought collection agencies called to make suitable payment arrangements....not law offices.

left a message telling me to call the 661-347-6372 and that is was time sensitive, and if i did not call back they wish me luck and i will regret it, i call the number and a fella named mark murphy awnsered, he told me that his client was trying to collect a debt and that the conversation was being recorded, when i asked for verification and information he told me that he was going to send his investigative team and sheriff to my job and have me arressted i was like ya good luck with that its my day off, he said then fine we will come to your house and pull you out, this is not the first time that this piece of @#%* called my phone, this person real name or not has threatened to rape my 10 daughter and to kill my family if i did not respond to his questions, and bluntly told him that if i ever seen his arabian ass come to my door he better have an army because you dont threaten to kill my family and rape my kids and expect to walk out of my home, for months i have dealt with these people with no help from police or government agencies, any ideas before i really try to find these people?

Let me give you some advice people. If a law firm calls you and leaves a message. When you call back and they answer they will not say who am i speaking with. if they have an answering service it will say what law firm they are from. These scammers are not to smart at all. I bet the phone numbers they are using are from google voice or something.

I got a call yesturday on my work number saying that I need to return this call from a Linda Brown who sound nothing like she was from india. She stated that they where in the process of pressing charges against me. When I called the number back some guy answered the phone. When I told him I was returning a call from a Linda Brown he asked me for the number that I was calling from and so that he could pull my case information. Once he did that he began by telling me that some cash place online had deposited 200.00 in my account and where not able to get it back due so they want to press charges instead of trying to get the money back. I almost got scard until I pulled my back statement and realized that nothing was ever put in my account by this company. When I asked for the Company information who wanted to press charges so that I can call and clear up the mix up he start yelling for me to prove it in court and hung up the phone in my face. These guys are clowns.... They are diffently trying to get some kind of financal gain out of scaring people. But it didn't work here. :)

I am getting harrassing calls actually for my sister who is in a coma in the hospital.They said that they are putting out an arrest warrant for her and picking her up today from the hospital. I have power of attorney for her and she has never gotten any notorized court paperwork saying anything about any of this. They are all indian speaking people who won't give any information about why they are calling or who they are calling for.All they say is this is being recorded. I told them fine but i find it funny they are gonna pick someone up from a hospital in a coma and they don't even know what hospital they are in!!!

Just an update.
I tried to verify the company and he threatened my girlfriend with jail time too. I then called my loan company and they told me that not only was I in good standing with them, but that they were NOT AFFILIATED with Anderson Law Associates. In fact, they told me to call my bank and the cops.
I did both, and have now filed harassment charges against them!!!
I also called a lawyer friend of mine and this is what she told me. If you suspect ANYTHING and cannot verify the company or have no NOTARIZED paperwork that was sent VIA US postal services it is not LEGAL!! They had said they had sent me many e-mails, I don't have any, however, e-mails are not a legal source of any court paperwork. It all must be NOTARIZED and sent VIA US postal services once again.
