I have taken the position that I will not answer calls of this nature since I am on a no call list, nationwide. If they want to speak to me they can identify their Co. name on the caller ID. How can I stop these type calls.

Call came in from this number not 10 minutes ago. (9-2-13) The caller ID said COBB CALLER with this number: 719.359.4401. Didn't answer it because it's an unknown number to me. (I learn quickly NOT to answer unknown numbers. If it's important, they'll leave a message, not immediately hang up.)
As soon as the answering machine picked up, they hung up. *sigh* Now they know they have a live number with at least SOMETHING behind it, so they'll most likely try again! Next time that number calls, I'll hit them with a recording of the old AT&T trouble tones ("beep-Beep-BEEP! The number you have reached is no longer in service. Please check the number & try your call again".) That usually (& I'll put that lightly) ends the cold calls from that number. Not always, but 90% of the time it works!
