If you have Comcast phone service, you can block calls by calling *60 and then following the prompts. Then, when they call, your phone will not ring.

It's a research, survey and data collecting company. According to Wikipedia: "SSI (Survey Sampling International) founded in 1977 by Tom Danbury and Beverly Weiman, the first commercial market research sampling company. It serves more than 3,000 clients, including political, social, and governmental organizations"
Our call was a political survey (multiple choice and yes or no answers) about the United States our opinions and concerns in the Middle East. The call lasted approx. 20 minutes. We never gave them our personal info like income, religious views, date of birth, political affiliation, and education level, which she ask at the end.

They left a Vx mail asking for a male head of the household. Searching for the number yielded that it is a landline in Norcross, GA. Two different carriers were indicated for the tel no. Broadwing and windstream communications. If a company is legit, why hide your identity? Think SSI may be a survey/info type operation, based on search engine results

Got a call from this number today - Toledo, OH area code. Calling from "SSI" he said, but asked for "someone in your IT Department".
SSI, when googled, can be other Agencies than Social Security. There was aVERY lot of background chatter on this call. Suspect it to possibly be a Survey Seek or Telemarketer.

It's a call center that harasses you to take a survey. The only way they claim to remove you is online (email or by phone). They claim it can take up to 5 days. Their website is below, it's a hard to find one, and the only way I got that info was to call them back. I have asked them to remove me by phone and email.
