They are scammers. I have recorded my contact with them. I have no such cases against me there in California or in my own county. Look up NACA for lawyers in your area to help. I found one in my area called and he is looking over all of my information for free.

I keep getting a call from thisw number on my mobile. It simply hangs up when I answer. I googled the number and someone said it's cengage education which makes sense as i did register on their database for a course. They are emailing me and sending me things through the post which is great but the creepy phone calls are a little too much!

I get repeated calls from these blokes regarding different investments. I agreed to take a look at the paperwork one time, and they sent only a signature page. To me, that is a red flag. I was called by a Ron Eiger. A simple google search for Ron or Ronald Eiger yeilded articles on numerous lawsuits and investigations. Many legitimate investments are available rather than investing in these "pre-IPO" deals and penny shares.

Jerk that will harrass you via texts and calls for no reason

When I pick up, either silence or "forwarded"/ringing. When I missed and call back, silence or automated "opt out". After 2-3 times, I decided that it is not a friend, so I ignore (if its important, they would leave a REAL mssg!) Received calls 2-3 times a day, everyday, for about 2-3 weeks. So annoying! My number was on the National Do Not Call registry. So I reported them.

Same voice mail as I have received for the last 4 months (word for word). I called back and they claimed they could not find anything related to number on which I received the call. The individual asked for my social security number. I did not provide it. I told them do not call this number again. I could hear other callers in the background. The same threats as I have heard before. One individual said that an officer would be by at 11:00 AM tomorrow to take the individual to court. Lending contracts now clearly say (at least in California) that these types of threatening calls are illegal.

Called for someone that does not live here and said that I am legally obligated to inform them of a "criminal legal matter." Told him that I knew he was not allowed to lie under the FDCPA, he told me to shut up and called me ignorant. Hung up after telling him not to call again; he called right back and said that what I told him doesn't matter unless he gets it in writing. He called three times in a row, in all (missed the first call). I'm going to keep track of his calls on caller ID and his voice messages in order to gather evidence for a harassment lawsuit, if it comes to that.
