It goes to an automated maegsse for a second, then you get that same damn Hindu woman. 866-279-7918 is a Capital One number.The lady I spoke with was clearing up an erroneous fee that Capital One was charging me on an account that I had closed (when I had closed the account, the previous customer service rep. zero'd the balance out but didn't finalize the closure).I'm certain the rep from 866-279-7918 was from Capital One as she knew the exact ammounts and dates of my final two payments, as well as the current erroneous charges (she did not ask for any personal information from me).So once again (for anyone that finds this page thru Google, as I did) (866) 279-7918 is Capital One.
