A certain Officer Brian John or Bryan John from the CRA called me today twice leaving a threatening message.
Stating that this message is for "you". if indeed he is from the CRA, then he would know the name of the party he is looking for and not just refer to "you".
if the matter was also urgent, then he would also leave a file number or reference number, which he did not.
and the manner he spoke was very threatening. i don't think the CRA people were trained to scare/threaten people.
furthermore, i am on the do not call list.

Called up house threatened my wife to be arrested in 45 minutes by local RCMP forcdefrauding government and failure to pay taxes. After all explanation that we have never failed to pay taxes and filing of ITR since retirement the guy with a heavy East Indian accent insisted to pay the alleged 3000 Cdn dollars to an address in US thru postal money order. Instead my wife and son went straight to the RCMP reported the incident.

These people pretended to be employees with CRA and advised me that I was about to be arrested for tax fraud. They had audited my returns for the last 5 yrs and found where I had defrauded the gov of $2,650. This was an extremely time sensitive issue and the agency could not accept credit card or cheque type payment. I only had hrs to resolve. I told them to send the police and hung up.

I received a recorded message call a couple of weeks ago stating I needed to call this number and speak to someone at CRA as a matter of urgency. I did. The person I spoke with (Mark Tabor/Dabor sp?) someone with a heavy accent stating they were calling from Canada Revue Agency with regard to my income tax from 2012, that I had committed fraud. I knew something was up because I have been sick for the last few years and have not submitted my income tax returns. I called my sister-in-law who works for Canada Revenue Agency and she told me that this is a scam, they would never contact people like that. (You would get a letter first). I also called the local police station who again told me that this was a scam and that I should not give any personal information. Today I received another recorded message telling me I needed to contact CRA as a matter of urgency. I googled this # and this is one of the sites that came up. Letting you know this is a SCAM.

Three times today I got another version of the FAKE CRA threat phone calls. This time a new script, and a new name. Here is my transcript one-word(?) I just couldn't understand due to his accent.
Demanding, isn't he? Make sure your senior family / friends know. It's tragic that these thieves instill such fear. But understandable since the words "C. R. A." do that automatically with most people.

Here is the message that was left on my answering machine on Friday, August 20th, 2015.
"So it is from your debt, there is a serious law suit filed against your name.
The issue at hand is very time sensitive. The very second you receive this message; I need you to return the call as soon as possible on my department number which is 613-704-1472. I repeat it 613-704-1472.
If I don’t receive your call you will have to face hard and unwanted legal consequences including your Social Insurance Number will be under investigation and will be red flagged forever.
To avoid all legal consequences, call me as soon as possible. Again this message is for you and this is Officer Eric Foster from Canada Revenue Agency.
Good bye and have a blessed day."

The english skills of this caller were abhorrent! When I asked for them to send me some proof of this alleged debt in the mail he refused and said that they would only be taking payment over the phone today. Ridiculous! He also began to yell at me to "pay my bills"! It seems as if these people are just pulling a credit report and calling based on what ever is hsowing there. as if they are representing that company!
