The woman on my voice-mail had a thick Indian accent that was almost impossible to understand. The name she provided was not her identity. She said my name had come up in an IRS investigation, and it was urgent I call back. The IRS doesn't cold-call people. They provide their personal ID # and a case # at the very least.
