Caller had a heavy indian voice, there was a delay after i answered before she responded. Lots of background static noise. I was told I was awarded a $9k grant for being a good citizen, always paid my taxes on time and that I was selected amoung 1,500 folks to get the grant. I looked it up while she was talking, found out it was a scam and ended the call

The man told me I was selected to receive $9000 due to selection from a government grant. Then asked for information on how I want to receive the money. He also made a joke saying he will come to my house. I ended the call

Was call and told i was selected to recieve a 9000$ grant. He said i could use it to even go on vacation. I proceeded to let him know that I dont believe that is the Governments responsibility at all. He then told me he would continue to call, I told him not to call me again, he then told me he would put me on a list to make sure i would get called again. Called my US rep to let him know
