He called telling me that I had earned 9k in Grant money from the fed gov. I said okay so he would give me more information. He told me not to use it for drugs alcohol or casinos. And then he asked what is use it on so I just told him a car. He continued to describe this grant money to me until I said "I'm not interested in the money" he asked why and I said "because I don't think it is real." He then asked what I was doing do I questioned him why. He said that he didn't want me to be busy. I said "will I'm in the middle of homework and I am not interested in this money" he kept asking why but I kept saying that I didn't think this money was legit. He then told me about how his mom was from China and his dad was from Pakistan and that he hadn't been in the US for very long. He continued to tell me that he hasn't been in this business for a while so he hadn't gotten the hang of how to do everything. I didn't respond, so he then asked if I spoke Spanish. I asked why and he repeated himself "do you speak Spanish" I responded with "a little but I'm not good at it. Look, I'm nut interested in this money" he then said "that's okay, I just want to get to know you" I said "no thank you" and then he said "why not, I want to teach you Spanish one day" so I just said again "no thank you" he said "I'm going to one day" and he hung up.

Scam about having been awarded a grant from the Federal government. They tell you the grant is linked to the number they are calling. Of course, they called my work phone, as soon as I wanted to sent them to the corporate folks, they hung up.
