I just received a call from the number 202-498-0576.

I didn't answer, but I immediately called back. The phone rang about three times, then an automated message played: "This is Verizon Wireless. The number you have dialed has either been changed, disconnected, or is no longer in service"

So my gut instinct was correct once again. This number is just some telemarketer or scam artist.

The man callign said he was calling me because I was selected for a federal grant. Since I have not applied for grant I asked him why he was calling me. He went on about some guidelines that are followed for me to end up on a list. (Ex- employed, no criminal record)
When I asked him if this was a legit call and told him that I have been getting calls form other people for the past couple of months saying the same thing he promptly hung up on me.
