The potential buyer contacted me by e-mail, but asked for an awful lot of info from me in order for him to purchase my car, that was listed on Craigslist. I decided to do a revrse lookup for the phone # he left me and found all sorts of complaints. I didn't respond to his inquiry. Thanks to those that reported this, so that I didn't comtact him.

I sensed something fishy with this guy. He responded to my ad on Craigslist. Might still be out there to scam people.

He (or whatever he/she is) contacted me within hours of placing an ad on craigslist. Basically sending email verbatim from the Nigerian Check/Cash Scam. Contacted the FTC and police. Although I originally had no idea that this was a FRAUD, I was incredibly close to being a victim of the scheme. I consider myself lucky and hope others realize this before it's too late.
