No name given only that they would contact my employer and I was being accused of bank or check fraud. I used 2 payday loan companies several years ago. I think this is how they got my number. I receive many phone calls that they leave messages like this. I have been to the police and they say to ignore them. It does get annoying.

Same exact thing is happening to me! Bank/check fraud messages on my voicemail, no business identifers when I do speak with someone, and disconnecting calls when I ask probing questions.

Same number has called my cell phone, my husband's cell phone, my work and my mother's home phone. I get the same message of a guy's voice telling me I committed bank/check fraud. I called the number back and they were asking me to verify my ssn# so that they could tell me what the issue was. I told them I would never tell any personal information over the phone and that if it was that important of an issue they would tell me what it was....THEY HUNG UP! Total scammers! Never give any information over the phone! Now it is to the point of harassment.

This number: 216-285-9766, is harassing and threatening me to go to court. Then said they will calling my employer and attach to my paycheck for payment. When I call back I receive a message that the call will be recorded, then the number disconnects. This has been going on for years and I thought it was a real collections company for medical bills. Now they are telling its about check fraud. They also said it was in connection with other states I have never stepped foot into. Something needs to be done.

THIS IS A SCAM. A MALE VOICE RECORDING CALLED MY CELL & WORK IN REGARDS TO BANK OR CHECK FRAUD. THEY NEED TO TALK TO ME IN REGARDS TO THIS. THEY WERE MANDATED TO CALL MY EMPLOYER TO VERIFY EMPLOYMENT. THEY WOULD BE SENDING PAPERWORK FOR ME TO APPEAR IN COURT. DON'T FALL FOR THIS SCAM.

Been getting calls from them, the first time they called it sounded like they had accents, but this time I talked them and they sounded American, I talked to a girl at first then asked for her male supervisor but you can tell they were full of it, said that I owed 1500 from a loan company and I needed to pay the bank back, I said I can tell you all are frauds because I took out a loan over 8 yrs ago and been handled that loan, I said I went directly to the loan company and paid them payments, why would I go to the bank when I didn't take out the loan with the bank, he said no I don't think you understand I said no I don't think yall understand, I basically grilled them made them look stupid and he hung up on me lol, dummies! I asked why would yall contact me afta 8 yrs bout a loan, when the people themselves took me to court over this same loan, he was asking for my bank info and everything, I said what that got to do with this loan? Really, who does that? I guarantee they wont be calling me anymore!

left a automated phone message, caller id showed 5003, but left a message to call back at 216-285-9766 at my job. stating all of the above. no name, no company name. i recently had unauthorized transactions to my acct, that I filed a claim with my bank. an email was sent to my personal email of a letter from SHAW, SANDERS & ASSOCIATES, had my name and address, showing acct#, name & amount of debt. this letterhead had no address, only a phone and fax number. i went in the website and enter their phone #, it was listed as a computer technical support. these people really need to get a real job

Caller left voice mail on my job stating calling in reference to bank or check fraud. I am a senior citizen and I am in good standing with my bank and it is against the law to call my voicemail and leave message on my job according to my lawer and no letter was sent to me. Also said would contact my employer. Call coming from 216-285-9766. Beware of evil doings.

I received a message stating paperwork is being filed foe my job to confirm employment for check/bank fraud. I have been getting messages as such throughout the summer as well as at my job. I've submitted complaints to FTC for I KNOW I haven't done such, yet these calls keep coming. It's annoying as heck!!

They called me and said they got my new # from a private investigater and I had check fraud. That I needed to pay a settlement amount of $660 in 5 months or they will subpoena me to go to court. Funny that they never did say the name of their institution and it did sound very unprofessional in the background. I googled their number and nothing comes up. I was told that they were scammers by a relative of mine that got scammed in this same way.

This actually was a new scam for me today. I received the automated call at work and thank god my employer knows that I have been dealing with calls like this for years now. All the same it is getting old that no one can do anything about it. It took a lot of convincing on my end to my employer but in the end they are on to it. When I called the number back they either hang up when confronted or say it was a private investigator who left the message and hang up. Funny if they were legit why hang up! Major scam and have been reported once again. DON'T FALL FOR IT OR ANY OF THEM ESPECIALLY THE ONES FROM THE MIDDLE EAST CALLING OR WHERE EVER TEY ARE CALLING FROM

I received an automated call at work saying I have bank fraud/check fraud to call by the end of today or I would have to deal with legal ramifications so to speak and I hate it because it makes ones character look questionable. I never had any bank fraud and when I called the number it sounded as if business was being ran out of their home or something. They never told me who they were and basically told me that they would keep calling. It sucks
