I got a phone call from Shirley Adams then was transferred to Jason Miller who said they are Officers from the Legal Investigation Dept. Of the IRS. They gave badge numbers, employee numbers, batch number, case number and sited all sorts of legal crap. They then said that IRS has filed a criminal case against me for Tax Fraud and Tax Evasion. I told them that IRS normally sends a letter first and sends a bill if any amount is owed, and that this is the first time I've heard of this. They gave 2 options, 1st option is to call my attorney and fight IRS in court and said that if I lose I could be fined $75000 or up to 5 years in jail, and that they will freeze all assets and put leans on house and cars. 2nd option was to pay IRS now. So I picked option 2. He stayed he has to stay with me on the phone as I drove to the bank and asked me to withdraw $6100 in cash. Luckily my bank has a daily cash withdrawal limit of $2000. When I told him I couldn't get all the money, he said it's okay and to deposit it in a government account at Bank of America that's under a name of an IRS officer. I told him I'd like to call the local IRS office to confirm this first before I deposit anything, and I would rather go to the local IRS office to pay it. But he insisted that I have to deposit it first, then send or drop off the bank receipt to the local IRS office, so they can sign the documents that would clear the charges. I continued to question him, and he threatened to freeze all assets, put leans on properties and have the sheriff arrest me in 15 minutes. Then he continued with the threats and eventually said that I am wasting his time, and then hung up on me. I realized it was a scam when he insisted that I deposit it in a bank account that has someone's name on it instead of The Treasury or IRS.
