The recorded call was -- as another poster has weitten -- from Internal Revenue SERVICES (plural). The is absolutely NOT the way The Internal Revenue Service would identify itself. I have already been called twice today.

The call was a recording claiming to be the IRS, they stated that I owed money to the IRS and a law-suit was going to filed against me for non-payment and that I needed to call back for information. They never stated a case number or the name of the party they were trying to reach, or any other specifics. *Scam!*

Same. Recorded message stating that it was the IRS and that I owed money. Also stated they had tried to contact me and this was the final call. Never once have I received a call from this number, also I have a reputable person do my taxes so I'm really not concerned. It's a scam. I have blocked the number.
