Someone called from this number. I missed the called. I call them back. A man answered and said he is with Dell Computer support. I stated I am returning his call and he said he never called me. I heard typing in the back ground and hung up. I have had similar calls in the past week from "private" number. I did contact Dell directly twice on Friday August 14 and Monday, August 17. Dell did verify they will never call customers asking to delete multiple addresses. He advised to hang up. The actual Dell representative I talked to did say that within in the past weeks, the continental US has been contacting Dell computer owners either saying they are from Microsoft or Dell. Bottom line do not give info. The scary thing is the scam artist who called me originally back on 8-15 actually had my service tag number. As with any threat, be sure and document and get as much information that you can from them.
