I just got a call from these idiots. The caller claimed to be from Microsoft stating they were getting errors from my computer. He asked if I was near it. I said, yes it is right here. He asked me how old it was. I yelled " Don't you know. I mean, your from Microsoft you F^cking Idiot. Wont the errors tell you what my Operating system is?" Can you believe he hung up on me?
I am sure he was expecting someone OTHER than a programmer who would freak out and give cc info instantly to save their computer. What an a**. I am just glad I got a good kick in before he hung up.

yes I have gotten calls, 000-000-0000 & also 636-60;i never answer unless I recognize the #;let it go to vm;most of the time, they never leave a message

They have called 10 times now in two days under two different guises.
1) They sound very official, and claim to be from "cardmember services", they wanted "to lower my credit card interest rate", they had my balance information, my last payment, interest rate, everything, they just needed some "personal information" to verify that I was the card holder.
2) They have also called "to deliver to me my new medical card which is free for all tax paying U.S. citizens", after I verify some personal information. One time, the guy asked me the wrong question, and after asking who he was, another guy got on the phone and berated me for being rude, and still wanted my personal information, after he told me that I HAD to tell him whatever information he wanted to know.
It is unfortunate that these people are giving decent Asian Indians a bad name.

Until last year, when I called the operator and complained, I would get one or two rings and then nothing. My caller IDs-2 of them- showed all zeros every time over several years. I am completely honest about this and here is some background. I am ex military and I used to go out with a friend to stargaze and look for meteors etc. He was a US Army combat engineer in Vietnam while I served in the Navy. Generally we both carried our 10 by 50 binoculars with us. One evening we watched 4 jet interceptors chasing an exotic craft over my town here. It was quite close and there was no question as to the object being a craft with running lights and a yellow light on top. I hate to say the word but yes, it was a flying saucer. I wrote an article in the local paper about this event. In a few days, 2 guys in USAF uniforms showed up at my door asking questions. After this, all this crazy nonsense started. This is only the tip of the iceberg as my phone would ring once or twice with no numbers showing at all. I am totally on the level here but I understand that most folks reading this will think I am nuts! In any case, has anyone else got calls with all zeros or no numbers at all for any reason? I am just wondering. Thanks.
