Just Google their names and go to their websites. They talk about handling a scavenger, shyster, debt collector these days. Most of these debt collectors are just surfing the web looking for any one with the name on the debt on their desk. Then the select or mail out "notices" to every person with that name, regardless if they are the person on the debt or not.
1. Make them prove in writing you owe the debt.
2. Never give a debt collector your bank accounts or credit card numbers.
3. Don't do business with them on the phone, make them put it in writing to you.
4. Don't believe the threats. They will say anything to rattle you, even make false claims you are going to jail etc. or will be fired from your job.
5. Try to record on audio tape, any and all phone calls you have with them. Save those incoming voice messages left to you too.
6. Hire an attorney if the harassment keeps happening. File charges in needed.

This number below is to a middle man collection agency that calls debtors and engages them in phone conversations while they tow your car, boat, RV or motor cycle away.
They hope you will pick up your second line while talking on your first line to someone else.
If you engage in conversation with them, they might even try to get you to find a letter, paper or something and have your read it back to them. This is a stall, to tow your car, boat, RV or motor cycle etc.
Or, to serve you legal papers in person.
Don't pick up, don't engage in conversation with them. If you aren't the person they are looking for, then have some fun and grossly mis-direct them.....
To this day, I haven't been able to find out the REAL name connected to this number. Only that they change their caller I.D. name attached to this number, I am guessing with sim cards or something like that.

What they hope for, is to get you to pick up your second line, while you are on the first line of your phone.
If this call is not for you, and you are not the debtor they are really looking for, we suggest you have some fun.
Pretend you are the debtor. Mis-direct them. My favorite is the name change, sex change comment.
"You say you are looking for Robert Smith? He is now called Roberta, he has a sex change in 2005 etc."
Or they call for William Jones. "Don't you mean Willimina Jones?"
Mess up the names they are looking for, give them fake sound alike addresses.
And my favorite, say sure I will get Roberta, Williamina etc. then set the phone down and start vacuuming, or watching Television or something. After a few minutes, they hang up, then try to call back, of course they get a busy signal.
But, dont answer if they call you on your cell phone. It just wastes your minutes.
Yeh, we helped out George Bourgus out for years--I mean "Georgia".....He even has a Safeway Coupon Card, and we are sure the creditors are mailing stuff to his new address...
