Claimed to have pending litigation and an outstanding debt with BofA, when I disagrees they hung up

We received a recorded message regarding pending litigation--"you will be served with court proceedings at your place of employment" etc., and the "agent" had my partner's name, last four digits of SS, and correct date of birth. The "agent" said they were "Process Mediation" and had bought an old debt (that was settled in 1998!) from Fleet Bank. I told him he would have to send me the information in writing, and he 'hung up' on me. I immediately did a reverse lookup on the number and have blocked it from my phone.
