They left a voice message saying I am being sued by IRS...WOW.. when you call the number back its no longer in service. WOW!!!! Hope they stop these ppl real soon.

Upon answering there was a message that stated they were an associate of the IRS and that the IRS was suing me. I am not an idiot. I know if the IRS has an issue with me they will contact me by mail.

received one of these calls. I also correspond with the IRS on many occasions and they will always send out mail and not call. Just remember that the police will never get involved with debt collecting. If you do owe the IRS it is strictly a Civil matter and not a criminal matter. Police only get involved with criminal matters.

received a threatening call from I R S by a robot
stating that they were suing me for X amount and
if I didn't pay them I would be arrested,put
in jail,drivers license revoked, etc. This was
Eric Johnson Badge #1058, Case # 40816 for years 2008-2013. He said they had sent me two letters
one in January and one in February which was a lie.........I almost fell for it until I was watching TV about this SCAM going on. BEWARE...

I received the same message on my phone. I attempted to call it back and it just rings busy. Yet, this morning, I called it and got a message saying I reached a non-working number, then later today it is ringing busy again. I reported this incident to the FTC, as well as to the IRS fraud department.

Robotic voice stated that IRS is filing suit against me and that I need to call this number to stop. This is the final notice. Yeah right....FYI the IRS makes no initial contacts by phone. I work with them quite a bit. They always correspond through the mail.
