Reported this to NoMoRobo and to Youmail to blacklist this number due to excessive Robo calls initiated from Call Center reported on multiple web sites tracking ABUSE as company has been DBA since 2000 with complaints registered since at least 2010. For those who have submitted complaints and spoken with the caller, they claim to be BIT SECURITY (caller ID). However further research reveals further complaints with other numbers and doing business as different company names.

Therefore I am blocking the following numbers and business names:
(336) 617-5235 and (336) 545-7761 and BIT Security;
(336) 540-8822 as BIT Services;
(877) 540-8822 Business Improvement Technologies, Inc.

RoboCall Telemarketer Carrier: Time Warner Cable Information Svcs (california) Db Landline. I did *67 to block my VOIP number to call back & had an automated greeting attendant indicate "You have reached [Unintelligible name] with BIT equipment. I'm not here to answer the phone right now. If you leave your name, number and brief message, I'll get back to you as soon as possible ". Prior to receiving the greeting there had been several switching background clicks where an automated robot was making it sound like a traditional answering machine. For those with Android devices your so much better off in being able to prevent repeat calls. For those with iPhone I recommend using FREE app YouMail to ditch calls. For calls made to Landline, I subscribe to http://nomorobo.com/ The call rang once and the free service endorsed by FTC 2013 award prevented the illegal telemarketing call from being answered by me or by voice mail as a hang-up. Call centers invoice the carriers through monthly tariffs for connecting calls either answered by your voice mail or a human being ... Reason why majority of calls are hang-ups!
