If UF is conducting a survey regarding people on Medicaid, aren't HIPPA laws being violated by giving out people's names and numbers? It would seem to me someone on Medicaid isn't proud they have to ask for help from the state, never mind have their information broadcast to whomever picks up the phone.
I don't want to take a survey and they don't seem to know how to take no for an answer.

352-392-2908 is the telephone number of the The University of Florida Survey Research Center; this center is a part of the Bureau of Economic and Business Research at the University of Florida and it is a legitimate research facility that does annual customer satisfaction surveys for Medicaid, Florida Healthy Kids, Children's Medical Services, The Florida Department of Transportation, etc. The survey research center also does research on behalf of the Florida Department of Health (the cell phone survey someone referred to earlier on this page), Blue Cross and Blue Shielf and the Floria Wildlife Commission. Usually, the point of the surveys is to improve the services provided by the client (i. e. Medicaid). That is the ONLY reason that this organization has contacted anyone.
