The call was a solicitation for installing home alarms. I'm on a DNC list so asked for their phone number. The girl, Lana, said they "just moved into a new office" and didn't know so would have to get it. She said I could call 949-486-7598 to get a local ADT to install the alarm. Again, I asked her for their office number and she said she'd have to get the boss. Then the phone disconnected...
I googled 949-486-7598 and it's also a suspicious number with lots of negative comments.
I say if you get this message, schedule an appointment. Tell the guy you want a 20-camera rig with night-vision and sound recording. Have him work several days to work up an estimate. Then tell him you're not interested and since they wasted your time, now you're wasting his. I'll bet you'll never get another call again...

The same as 401-365-6268 except peddeling ADT alarms instead of scam extended car warranties. My number is in my state and the national Do Not Call lists. Got this call about a home security alarm. It is unsolicited and it was an automated call. The company says they were "Home Security Center #397" and after a few questions transferred my call to Saveology.com, who claimed to be the largest reseller of ADT alarm in the US. ADT, has never heard of them. This most likely is the same sleazebag company that has been behind the "Heather with account services" credit card scam and the extended auto warranty scams in the past. I have phoned complaints to ADT, and saveology.com and shall be filing a repost with the FTC and the FCC.
