After repeated harrassment from telemarketers I found a phone system with a "block call" feature. Just enter the number you don't want to hear from and the phone system automatically gives a busy signal when they call. It has been an effective defense against even the most agressive callers. And I have peace of mind.

Why do you people bother talking to these jerks and trying to reason with them? They are all a$$holes trying to scam you. Hang up on them. Better yet, blow a loud whistle into your phone. You will deafen them. Try it...it's fun!

Whenever I get a call like this, I stall them on the phone while I call their number. 9 times out of 10, it's bogus.
I usually say, "So, (whatever their name is), does it make you feel good working for a deceptive company? Are you proud of yourself? You must be really desperate for work.."
By the time I get to the third sentance, they've hung up.

In order to have anything done about being on the do-not-call list, you would need a government that obeys the law. Currently we have a large group of inter-related, previously known and socializing, communist tax-evading criminals in the US government. How on Earth would you expect the FCC to do anything other than work on their anti-American, hand-wringing, bed-wetting, panty-wearing hate agenda? The FCC wants to censor the truth and only allow MSNBC, the New York Times, and the Nothington Post to have anything to say.

Just got a call, the guy said he was doing a survey and asked about whether I had smoke alarms. After some confusion he asked about whether I was the home owner. It did not sound like a professional organization and their was background noise that seemed to me to be many people talking in the same room.

Got a call from this number this evening. Caller ID said Rhode is Call. An foreign sounding person person asked to speak to the homeowner so I hung up. The background was very noisy. My number is on the 'do not call registry. So I filed a complaint.

I've been getting calls from this number everyday for the past few days. I'm not answering. Caller just hangs up when the answering machine gets the call.
Asked if there was a smoker. I said the # he called is on the "do not call" list and that this is a non-smoking building, then hung up.
He had an Indian accent.

I could not understand a word he said and i told him I was not interested. I hung up and he called me back with the same spiel, again I hung up.

I have been asked to do this survey about smoke detectors I can not tell you how many times.
When I told him I have answered the survey he told me I had not or I would not be on the list to call. I then proceded to tell him the questions he was supposed to ask me.
When I told him see I have done this before take me off he said No I will just keep calling you back. I said no take me off the list or give me to a supervisor he said no I will call you back anyway and hung up on me.
Needless to say I am pissed off!!!!

to the Attorney General's Office. Don't
deal with this scammers. They tried to sell
a security system a family member who has Downs
Syndrome. They are low life bottom dwellers.
