Yes they called me about a claim that was on their desk,except they called my dad's phone instead of mine. I have had this done before by another collection agency which I paid off immediately. Most people say they are bluffing but me I don't want to pay $1,000.00 extra if they do decide to make it legal and it's legit. I did make sure that the debt was an official debt though. I didn't hand them the money without it. Since I knew it was a real debt I didn't want to take the chance. I am not an attorney but they told me it was too late to make payments and it had to be in full.
I would think if they wanted their money through court claims they would surely take a third of the payment now and not want to waste the time and money.Who knows I knew I owed the debt so I paid it.
