Threatening VM left about immediate issue of warrant for arrest. SCAM SCAM SCAM … Legitimate debt collects CANNOT threaten that “implication of nonpayment of any debt will result in the arrest or imprisonment of any person or the seizure, garnishment … or sale of any property …” (Sec 807, subsec 4; Fair Debt Protection Collections Act of 1996).
These troglodytes not only called me, but also my 20 year old daughter and (laughable) my ex-wife, with whom I’ve had no financial ties with for over 12 years. These calls all happened within the space of two hours. They are casting a wide net, hoping to ensnare the uneducated and easily frightened.
