They called my cell phone and left a few messages about me needing to call them right away so that they could help me avoid being sued for an upaid debt. They called my job and the guy was hard to understand but started asking me to verify my SS #. I refused and asked him what he wanted and he suddenly needed to transfer me to his supervisor Mr. Hunter. Hunter claimed to be a lawyer and said he worked for Cashnet USA. I could tell it was a scam and instructed him my lawyer would be contacting him and to not call this number again. He then started talking about me filing bankruptcy which I never had. What a joke. BEWARE of this scam.

"joe brown" called me today from the same number. then he gave the phone to his 'supervisor' daniel hunter, atty for the Back Office Legal Department company. 'Daniel the attorney', when asked for the name of his company, replied that he worked for fincen.gov. ?? That's a US Treasury related company..At another point he told me Cashnet.usa and of course the usual threats that i'm going to jail, that people are on their way to my house, that he wants to talk with my attorney, etc....the phone call ended with him saying "f*ck you and you have a bad p*ssy". ?? someone from ftc, atty gen'l office, etc...please send these guys back to the desert with no phones?

THEY ASKED ME TO CALL BACK (DID NOT SAY A FULL NAME) AND TOLD ME TO RETAIN AN ATTORNEY. GAVE ME THE ABOVE PHONE NUMBER. WHEN THAT NUMBER WAS DIALED IT WAS A GARBLE VOICE THAT SAID "LEAVE A MESSAGE" VERY DIFFERENT FROM WHO CALLED. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY AN IDENTITY THEFT RING. THEY DO THE SAME IN EMAILS.
