Guess I'm not the only one receiving the automated message that the IRS is suing me today.
Boy we are all in for it now.... I'll be sure to return this call, with my bank account, social security and credit card number - just in case that will resolve the issue.

Claim to be IRS. I called back every 10 minutes asking for an address to send my past due taxes to, then called them a bunch of scammers and a few other things and then I hung yup.

Received automated call purportedly from. IRS saying that they were about to file suit against me and to call back this #. Just to see who would answer, I called and asked, "Who is this?" A heavily accented woman said, "This is the IRS." I hung up.

Received a message claiming the IRS if filing a lawsuit against me. Called the number back and a male with the name of Edward Burt answered with a casual "hello." No professional greeting or IRS tree call recording. Claimed to be IRS headquarters and proceeded to argue with me when I stated headquarters office is in Washington DC not Washington state.
