There's a guy in south Austin, TX calling himself Anthony or Antonio selling fake Rosetta stone. Phone # 512-568-9637 (512)568-9637. He's a short Mexican male prob in his late 20s or 30s.
I bought a Rosetta Stone from him for my son's birthday a few months ago and it turned out to be counterfeit. I called and texted him to get my money back, but no response, of course. I met him off of Ben White & hwy 71 at this seedy Chevron gas station. That should be been my first clue.
The Rosetta Stone looked totally legitimate and was still sealed, but when I called the company with some problems- since I didn't have a "key" in order to complete a certain section, they told me what to look for and sure enough it was a FAKE!
I looked up his phone # and he has over 200 listings of all kinds of fake items in the last 30 days on Craigslist in Austin. I contacted the Austin Sheriff's Department and a few other letter agencies, but he still posts and apparently has done this to others from what I was told. Looks like he's been doing this for years.
