Middle eastern man..says Im took an internet payday loan..which I have not, was unable to give me any other information than my name, but threatened and harrased me with law suit..rec'd a similar call a few weeks ago looking for a relative of mine..stating i was their reference, and therefore responsible..again, no such transaction took place...don't give them any info they don't already have

A middle eastern man identifying himself as an office of the Department of Trustee or the Department of Trustees (not sure which), says that he needs to speak with me urgently regarding a debt collection matter. He has called my work #, although I am not sure how he received my work phone number, and left messages on my HR director's voicemail!!! How outrageous. So much for confidentiality. This HAS to be a scam. If it wasn't, the person would have left a brief message and kept the details until I called him back versus leaving the message of an "urgent matter" regarding a debt on my HR representative's voicemail.

My wife took the call and said the gentleman had a very thick accent and was extremely rude. I did a quick search on the net and discoverd that this was a scam. Thank you to all who posted!
