A man called on my office phone at 1:26pm 3/26/15 and told me that he is from DWP (Department of Water & Power) and that they were going to turn off my electricity at 3pm today for failure to pay my bill. He said they would require an online payment of $300 even though I told him that I knew that I had paid my bill and owed no money. He asked for my bank details, which I did not give him. I became suspicious when he could not tell me my DWP account number correctly. I told him that I was suspicious and wanted to talk to a supervisor. He just repeated that he needed for me to give my bank account information or would have my electricity turned off if I didn't. I could detect that he was lying and a fraud and told him so. Then I told him that I would do everything in my power to see that he was prosecuted for his attempt to defraud me. He then (surprisingly) admitted that I was right and then said "I know your address in Los Angeles. And let me tell you, your office is in danger." And then he hung up. His telephone number ID was “Bart Stone” and the telephone number was 561-705-6045. I looked this number up on the Internet and it comes up as owned by YMAX Communications Corp.
