Number traces to Groupe LGS but likely spoofed! The ID on call display was V12214241500000 and the ring was a long distance tone, so they just chose some random number in my area code, more than likely!
Asked for me by name, saying she was from the government and calling to find out why our home has not had its Ontario SaveOnEnergy assessment completed yet. Started by asking me to confirm my address which she stated to me (anyone can find our name and address); I hung up to not allow her to go any further.
I'm sure she'd have then started asking for gas or electricity billing numbers, etc ... As of March 1/2018 door to door solicitations for energy, electricity, water heaters and purifiers, etc. will be illegal in Ontario. I guess we're going to start being called like crazy now. And yes, we're already on DNC list. But these foreign telemarketers/scammers do not honor it of course!
